民進黨立委段宜康爆料，花了28億打造兩艘可以供直升機降落的新型艦艇，卻從未啟用，負責飛行的空勤總隊飛行官也不敢落艦。海巡署長王進旺證實，台南艦從2009年服役至今，沒有直升機起降紀錄，目前正在逐步改善、擴充相關設備。

立法院內政委員會上午處理海巡署解凍案，段宜康就海巡能量質詢王進旺，並拋出相關問題。王進旺證實，目前兩架機載艦台南艦和新北艦，分別於2009年及2013年服役，都沒有直升機在台南艦起降，因為人員和直升機機型的限制，起飛甲板目前還不能供空勤總隊現有機型使用。
