新北推戒菸門診　免收掛號費

新北市去年有1萬2千多人參加戒菸門診，6個月後的成功率達到近3成，由於戒菸往往需要一段時間才能成功，新北市衛生局結合所屬29區衛生所及58家合約醫療院所，推出「戒菸免收掛號費」服務，同時將門診及住院、急診病人都納入戒菸治療適用對象，結合專業醫療團隊，協助市民一起來戒菸。
 
衛生局表示，經統計資料，3成的癌症與吸菸、二手菸有關，而戒菸滿1年，罹患冠狀動脈心臟病機率減少一半，且滿5年則中風機率降低至與不吸菸者相同，目前政府推動戒菸，更增加戒菸藥物的補助、合約藥局給藥及戒菸衛教暨個案管理等多元戒菸服務，補助範圍也由門診擴展至住院與急診。
