【徐彩媚/嘉義報導】世界麵包冠軍師傅吳寶春,在麵包內加入荔枝乾獲獎,讓荔枝乾一炮而紅。嘉義縣竹崎鄉種植荔枝面積廣達450公頃 ,有農民專門製作荔枝乾,而大受歡迎,每斤可以賣到200元,目前正是盛產期。竹崎鄉長溫良恭今天開記者會加以推廣。 
 
農民張石旺種荔枝已幾十年,5年前他從泰國拿回荔枝種子,一種不得了,竟然比平常荔枝大3倍,而且果實甜美,但市面上荔枝的價位不高,只有幾十元,學習荔枝乾燥技術,現在荔枝乾除了做麵包,還可以做為油飯等,價格也水漲船高。
