馬總統中部巡視部隊賀中秋

國防部中午表示，中秋節將屆，馬總統上午在國防部部長嚴明、參謀總長高廣圻等人陪同下，先後前往海軍火炎山雷達站、防空飛彈部隊、陸軍步兵第104、302旅等單位，慰勉國軍官兵戮力戰備辛勞，並祝賀秋節愉快。

國防部指出，馬總統上午前往海軍火炎山雷達站等單位，除巡視各單位外，並與官兵合影留念及頒發慰問金，中午並於陸軍成功嶺營區與中部地區三軍主要幹部官兵及榮民代表會餐，提前向官兵賀節，期間，總統對國軍官兵戮力戰訓本務，展現高昂的士氣，表達高度嘉勉之意。

國防部進一步表示，總統在成功嶺營區與官兵代表會餐精神講話時，以當年參加成功嶺大專集訓班時，其所屬單位曾參加民國38年的「登步島大捷」，以及曾在海軍服役兩年為例，強調只有軍人才能「執干戈以衛社稷」；總統並以穿過國軍軍服為傲，以當過軍人為榮，期勉國軍在各項戰備整備上，都能精益求精，在維護國家安全方面，更能戮力以赴。
