商周鮮奶報導引起恐慌，有學校的營養午餐因此暫停供應鮮乳。教育部國教署表示，只信官方檢驗，不隨民間檢驗起舞，依據學校營養午餐基準，學童每周最好攝取一到三份乳品類 (一份相當是鮮乳240cc)，也有學校營養師說，在政府和廠商高度重視鮮乳品質下，現在喝鮮乳反而比較安全。

主管營養午餐業務的國教署組長楊國隆表示，除非是農委會委衛生署驗出鮮乳有安全疑慮，教育部才會行文給學校，絕不會隨民間的檢驗起舞，否則就亂了套。

依據學校午餐營養標準，國中小和高中生攝取乳製品的理想值是每天三份，但由於鮮乳成本高，多數學校每周只供應一份，少數供應兩份。
