前副總統蕭萬長今天擔任辜振甫暨辜嚴倬雲台灣研究講座首場主講人，對於近來APEC特使人選惹紛爭，五任領袖代表連戰表是換人選看報紙才知道；蕭萬長會後受訪表示，今天早上已向國民黨榮譽主席連戰請益，連戰侃侃而談過去與會經驗，讓他受益很大，他近期將和外交部、經濟部等單位展開APEC會前準備工作。
