佛心老闆賣掉餐廳 為女員工籌醫藥費

【張渝萍／綜合外電報導】美國出現一名佛心老闆！在德州經營餐廳的德貝爾，得知女員工被診斷出腦瘤後，竟賣掉開了17年的餐廳，為她籌醫藥費，他說：「我不能坐視不管，也無法在明知道她需要幫助時，還繼續開心賺錢。」

美國《蒙哥馬利信使報》近日報導，19歲女服務生馬提斯（Brittany Mathis）上月因嚴重頭痛加上腿部出現疹子而就醫，結果被診斷出左腦長有一個乒乓球大小的腦瘤，但因她沒健保，無力負擔龐大醫療費而放棄治療，她老闆德貝爾得知消息後，決定賣掉其中一間開業17年的德式餐廳，幫忙籌醫療費，預估能賣得約6千多萬元台幣。
