宏達電(2498)和美國高階耳機製造商Beats Electronics, LLC分手了！宏達電27日同意將剩餘的24.84% Beats股權全數賣回給該公司，總值為2.65億美元。在此同時，Beats也另結新歡，宣布獲得凱雷集團(Carlyle Group)投資，據悉金額達5億美元。

華爾街日報和紐約時報報導，宏達電2011年以3.09億美元收購Beats 51%股權，當時宏達電還是全球智慧型手機的領導者，希望雙方合作擴大市場。不料之後宏達電業績急轉直下，三星電子(Samsung Electronics)和蘋果(Apple)日益壯大，宏達電遭到邊緣化；去年便已將手中的一半股權賣回給Beats，如今更出清全部持股，正式說掰掰。儘管如此，預料雙方仍將繼續合作，未來宏達電產品仍將內建Beats軟體。

Beats甩掉舊愛，轉投凱雷懷抱。訊息人士透露，凱雷投資5億美元，換取Beats董事會六席中的兩席。NPD Group統計，Beats掌控美國高階耳機市場一半以上的市佔率。去年營收約為10億美元，遠勝於2010年的不到2億美元。由於耳機銷售預料將日益趨緩，Beats積極進軍車用音響、筆電和手機喇叭等；近來更發展串流音樂服務，要跟Pandora Media和Spotify AB等一較高下。
