心碎婚禮　新娘父親致詞時心臟病發猝死

【綜合報導】英國65歲老翁貝茲(Alan Bates)，去年在愛女的婚禮上致詞時，突然心臟病發，送醫搶救後仍宣告不治。愛女為紀念爸爸，今年舉辦跑步籌款，為發生意外的酒店購置心臟除顫器，幫助日後心臟病發的客人進行初步的急救。

36歲的加爾布雷斯(Charlotte Galbraith)憶述，亡父貝茲在婚宴開始前，喝了一點酒也吃了點零嘴，他與在場賓客合照後進入會場，正上台向新人致祝賀詞時卻突然暈倒，加爾布雷斯見狀立即衝上台，場內有一名休假的消防員，以及英國國民保健服務員(NHS)協助急救，但仍回天乏術，老父送醫後宣告不治。雖然愛女傷心欲絕，不過回想能夠讓父親親自陪伴走上紅毯、步入教堂，見證整個婚禮，心中仍感安慰。

為紀念亡父，她與丈夫聯同伴郎、伴娘和數名賓客，一年後舉辦跑步籌款活動，順利籌得1800英鎊(約台幣8.5萬元)，為當天舉行婚禮的酒店添置心臟除顫器，將來有機會拯救更多心臟病發的人士。
