諾貝爾經濟學獎得主克萊恩逝世

諾貝爾經濟學獎得主、賓州大學教授克萊恩（Dr. Lawrence R.Klein），20日在賓州格雷特溫市家中逝世，享壽93。

克萊恩1920年生於內布拉斯加州奧馬哈市，畢業於加州大學柏克萊分校與麻省理工學院，1958年進入賓州大學任教，研究分析全球經濟趨勢的統計模型，他因此在1980年獲頒諾貝爾經濟學獎。諾貝爾評審團當時在表彰克萊恩成就的讚詞中寫道，在經濟學領域，少有研究型學者像克萊恩這般具有極大的影響力。
