前副總統呂秀蓮今天下午二時卅分，參與台中市南屯區台灣文化會館登場的「台灣21-名家聯展」時，台中市醫界聯盟理事長高嘉君等醫界人士挺呂秀蓮出來選台北市長，並且呼籲民進黨在台北市長選舉能徵召呂秀蓮。

呂秀蓮說，她鼓勵民進黨要有決心、信心打贏台北市長選舉，有志選舉大家出來，但搶權、想選而互相猜忌不好，她優先帶動大家來談談，如何打贏選戰。在場媒體詢問，若她獲黨徵召，是否參選？她回應，有必要才會參選，若黨內有好人選、會打贏選戰，就不需要她，畢竟她已經做過副總統，當下最重要是民進黨要打贏台北市長選戰。
