APEC台美領袖代表會面

美國在台協會（ＡＩＴ）今晚發布聲明稿表示，美國國務卿柯瑞已於6日在印尼峇里島舉行的亞太經合會（ＡＰＥＣ）與台灣的領袖代表蕭萬長會面，雙方討論如何強化維繫雙邊的非官方關係。對於蕭萬長10月31日至11月1日將率團訪美，凱瑞表示「非常期待」。

ＡＩＴ表示，柯瑞高度關注台美雙邊的經貿關係發展，也注意到貿易自由化對台灣未來經濟發展的重要性。美國樂見台灣加入免簽證計畫（ＶＷＰ）後赴美商旅的人數上升，也強調支持台灣有意義參與包括國際民航組織（ＩＣＡＯ）在內的國際組織。
