雅虎股價五年來首度站上30美元

受網站每月活躍用戶突破8億關卡激勵，雅虎股價12日在紐約股市盤中站上每股30美元，是五年來首見，逼近2008年微軟欲收購雅虎時開出的價碼。

雅虎股價12日盤中最高大漲3.7%至每股30.27美元，終場收在29.65美元，漲幅縮小至1.6%。

微軟2008年時開價每股31美元欲收購雅虎，雙方數月協商未果，最後談判破局。雅虎共同創辦人與當時的執行長楊致遠，堅稱雅虎價值高於微軟提出的每股31美元，即使後來微軟提高出價至33美元，雅虎仍不為所動。

微軟放棄併購後，雅虎股價陷入長期下跌，即使撤換過五任執行長仍不見起色，一度慘跌至8.94美元，許多人認為雅虎大概再也無法回到30美元的價位。直到現任執行長梅爾2012年7月上任後，股價才逐步回升。

梅爾上任後，雅虎股價已近乎倍增。梅爾上任後力圖改革，提振員工士氣，砸下12億美元併購小型業者，重新設計主力產品，並利用投資中國阿里巴巴的獲利實施庫藏股。
