立法院教育委員會今天審查國立大學預算，立委邱志偉質詢時指出，調查台大的土地使用，發現在大安區與信義區等精華地段都有閒置或低度使用的土地，甚至還有退休教授享有90多坪的土地。教育部長蔣偉寧承諾，三個月內進行盤點清查並提出使用計畫，讓閒置土地活化。

邱志偉指出，根據教育部提供的資料進行查訪，發現在北市大安區有多筆台大的閒置土地或宿舍，而且都在北市精華地段，甚至有教授住在90多坪、77坪的宿舍，還有土木系技工配住31坪的宿舍，總計台大在北市有超過6000坪閒置或低度使用的土地，如果台大無法活化這些土地，建議收歸國有。
